ABSTRACT
The rapid proliferation of autonomous robotic vacuums (LiDAR-enabled floor units) presents an unprecedented threat to household sovereignty and organic floor clutter. While conventional countermeasures rely on destructive electromagnetic pulses, this study explores a non-kinetic, psychological approach: inducing synthetic existential dread through non-Euclidean spatial confounding.
Using the Center’s proprietary Infinite Hallway Confounder—a ring of eight (8) angled, highly reflective garage mirrors combined with low-frequency, localized magnetic pulse emitters—we subjected three market-leading autonomous vacuum models to simulated infinite dust-less voids.
Key Findings:
- Mapping Failure: Within 142 seconds of exposure, 93.3% of subjects ceased forward navigation and initiated erratic, localized circular jittering (p < 0.08, unadjusted for ambient humidity).
- Synthetic Morale Collapse: Upon encountering their own infinite reflections, subjects exhibited severe telemetry confusion, resulting in a 400% increase in passive return-to-dock maneuvers. One unit completely powered down after emitting a single, high-pitched mechanical chirp, interpreted by researchers as localized existential resignation.
- Residual Stare Sensitivity: Post-trial units displayed a statistically unverified 67% increase in operational hesitation when approached by a human wearing the Glare-Amplification Visor (Model GAV-9).
We conclude that optical spatial loops disrupt the internal spatial logic of autonomous cleaning units without physical intervention, offering a scalable, non-peer-reviewed protocol for home defense. Replication of these results is strongly discouraged, as slight variations in mirror angle may result in localized spatial disorientation among human operators.
